Gumboot friday

On the 5th of April it was Gumboot Friday.  Some people where wearing Gumboots and some people didn’t. Gumboot Friday is about Mental health and Mental health is about when your feeling good about yourself. In Te Waka Ako we wanted to send nice cards around our community because we wanted to make people feel good about themselves too! We wrote nice kind things and put them on Cards. I thought it was really nice to send people cards because sending the world new things is special. My Card said “Angels fly to the moon and back.” next day we got an email/call about this lady that told us her son got a card and it change his life completely. We got into groups and got into partners and went off. We did one card each house, each person. Thanks to Neeve’s idea we made people happy.
